Cambridge Positioning Systems

Cambridge Positioning Systems (CPS) has developed two complementary, cost effective, high performance solutions for the location of mobile devices in the wireless world. Matrix is a software only solution using the synchronisation signals of cellular networks and E-GPS, an enhanced Global Positioning System which is a high-performance handset software based alternative to A-GPS. CPS has been engaged with global Mobile operators and Service Providers piloting a range of Location Based Services trials which have demonstrated the superior performance of the CPS technology. CPS is headquartered in Cambridge, UK.

In january 2007 CPS was acquired by CSR plc for $35m.

Celoxica

Celoxica (AIM:CXA) provides C-based software tools that enable the design of digital electronics to be conducted more quickly, with lower risk and at lower cost.
The company’s technology suite (consisting of design and synthesis tools, FPGA boards, development hardware and IP libraries) enables designers of complex electronics in sectors such as automotive, bioinformatics, communications and defence to accelerate the process of bringing FPGA and ASIC-based products to market.
Celoxica is based in Oxford, UK with representative offices in Japan and US. The company’s customers include Northrop Grumman, Qualcomm, Lockheed, and BAE. The Company floated on AIM in October 2005.

KVS

KVS (acquired by Veritas (now Symantec) NASDAQ: SYMC) is the market leading software solution for the archiving of email and unstructured content. Lagan

Lagan Technologies is a provider of relationship management and citizen-centric solutions and services to local government and public sector organisations.

m-spatial’s technology is used by a number of the leading mobile operators including Vodafone, Orange and O2 i-Mode. The company also recently inked a deal with Seat Pagine Gialle to provide mobile local search services to customers in Italy.
