DFJ Esprit wins Venture Capital Fund of the Year

23 Sep 2011

London, September 23, 2011: DFJ Esprit has won Venture Capital Fund of the Year at last night’s Investor Allstars Awards, ‘The Oscars’ of the VC community.

The Venture Capital Fund of the Year award is for professional excellence and is open to all European venture capital firms and corporate venture firms that make investments in high growth companies.

The judges felt DFJ Esprit was a worthy winner due to its impressive number of exits over the past 12 months including the sale of HBI for $288 million. The judges were also impressed by how visible the DFJ Esprit brand had become in the European venture market.

Simon Cook, CEO of DFJ Esprit, commented: “DFJ Esprit are delighted to receive such an esteemed industry accolade and we thank all our entrepreneurs for their amazing success, and our investors for their continuing support to invest in the next wave of successful companies.”

The Investor Allstars Awards are organised by tech investment bank GP Bullhound and Vitesse Media. This year’s event, the ninth edition, took place on 22nd September at The Natural History Museum.
