DFJ Esprit named Venture House of the Year

The European Venture Capital Journal, the leading venture capital and private equity magazine, has named DFJ Esprit "VC House of the Year" for 2008. DFJ Esprit won the award alongside Nomura Phase4 Ventures. The awards recognise and celebrate outstanding achievement in the venture capital and private equity industry.
Simon Cook, CEO of DFJ Esprit said, “2008 was an exciting year for us and it is reflected in this award. We had one of the strongest exits in Europe for 2008 and perhaps the biggest accomplishment was the take private of the Prelude Trust together with Coller Capital. With this award, we are delighted to have a strong start to 2009 and continue to remain optimistic and excited by European venture despite the difficult economic conditions.”
DFJ Esprit was presented with the award on January 28, 2009 at the awards dinner at the Dorchester Hotel.
