Encore Ventures is a leading European secondary team that acquires the portfolios of investments or limited partner interests in growth and venture-stage companies.

Encore looks to acquire positions in assets where owners are seeking liquidity.  These situations range from corporations intent on monetising illiquid non-core assets or funding early-stage adjacent businesses to banks, hedge funds or limited partners who wish to rebalance their investment portfolios.

In October 2009 Encore acquired the European venture portfolio of 3i in a fund sized at up to £170m and backed by Coller Capital and HarbourVest Partners.  This portfolio includes a significant number of European leading technology and healthcare-centric companies.
